Medical admission test pass marks
To pass the written (MCQ) exam, you have to get a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 marks. Those who get less than 40 marks on the written MCQ test will not be considered. Only passed candidates will be included in the merit list. If you get below 40 marks in the written exam, you can not also apply to a private medical college.
Five points will be deducted from the obtained marks (GPA + Admission test marks) for the second-time medical admission test. For students who had already been admitted to government medical or dental colleges the previous year, 7.50 marks will also be deducted from the obtained numbers.
How to check Medical admission result-2024
To check medical admission results, you can follow the steps below:
- Visit the official website of Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), https://dghs.gov.bd/.
- Click on the “Medical Admission” button on the homepage.
- Select the “Result” option from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your “Roll Number” and “Exam Year” in the respective fields.
- Solve the captcha and click on the “Submit” button.
- Your medical admission result will be displayed on the screen.
- You can download and print the result for future reference.
GPA marks count from SSC and HSC
To take the medical admission test, a candidate must have completed their secondary school certificate (SSC) and higher secondary education (HSC) or equivalent with a science background. A GPA of 3.5 (out of 5) or higher is usually required for HSC or equivalent. The candidate must have completed the HSC or an equivalent exam within the last two years.
The SSC and HSC or equivalent examination GPA marks will be set at 200 and evaluated as follows:
A) SSC / equivalent examination GPA = 15*SSC GPA = 75 Marks
B) HSC / equivalent examination GPA = 25*HSC GPA = 125 Marks
How To Check Medical Admission Result By SMS
To check medical admission results by SMS, you can follow the steps below:
- Open the messaging app on your mobile phone.
- Compose a new message.
- Type “DGHS” and then give a space.
- Type “MBBS” and then give another space.
- Type your “Roll Number” and then give a space.
- Type your “Exam Year” and then send the SMS to 16222.
For example, DGHS MBBS 123456 2024 and then send the SMS to 16222.
After sending the SMS, you will receive a reply message from 16222 with your medical admission result. You can also check the result on the official website of Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
